Skye's parents have just dropped a bombshell - they're getting divorced! Skye is hurt, angry and believes she's the only one who can keep her mom and dad together. One night while dreaming, Skye finds she has taken her parents to court in a last-ditch effort to deny their divorce. Skye attempts to prove her parents' divorce is undesirable, unnecessary and more importantly, totally unfair to her! With Trevor and Jack's help, Skye discovers her parents aren't divorcing her - they love her.

"Jack and Skye, animated middle school friends, return in this latest offering from children's book author Trevor Romain. Romain helps Skye work through anger, fear, and sadness when her parents announce their divorce. Through a courtroom dream sequence in which Skye opposes and Jack defends the parents' right to end their marriage, Skye learns that the divorce is neither her fault nor her problem to fix. She discovers that her parents will still love her, she doesn't have to take sides, shouldn't hide her emotions, and it's important to talk to friends. She also acquires some coping skills to deal with shared holidays and life in two homes. While Jack's jokes are a bit campy at times, the overall message is valuable, and the lack of a simplistic conclusion ("It will be tough for a while" and "There are no easy answers") will be appreciated by both parents and children.
